The Brief

9News was a brand-new project under the Internet Corp umbrella. The challenge was to build a news platform from the ground up that felt established and authoritative from day one. It needed to handle a massive volume of daily content while fitting into the broader ecosystem of the media group.

The Process

Since Internet Corp already saw success with Wall-Street.ro, the decision was to leverage that proven structure but refine it for a new audience. I worked on improving the widget-based layout and content hierarchy to make the site faster and more intuitive to scan.

Because we were building everything from scratch (from homepage to specific article templates) it was a 6 month marathon of design and feedback to ensure the architecture could scale as the newsroom grew.

The Result

The site went live after six months of intense development. It successfully launched as a clean, high-performance news portal that felt like a natural, yet improved, sibling to the group’s flagship sites.
